Annie Muldowney

Annie Muldowney is the Managing Partner of Muldowney & Hollingsworth, LLC, where she leads the firm’s practice in estate administration, estate litigation, and landlord/tenant matters for both residential and commercial clients. With a reputation for practical guidance and tenacious advocacy, Annie brings experience and personal attention to every client matter.

While earning her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, Annie was employed as a legal assistant at the Law Offices of Matthew M. McDowell, LLC, sparking her interest in joining the legal field. Upon receiving her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2012, she rejoined the Law Offices of Matthew M. McDowell, LLC as an associate attorney and became partner in the firm in 2019.

Following the passing of Mr. McDowell in 2024, Annie continued to operate and manage the law firm and ultimately opened the practice of Muldowney & Hollingsworth, LLC in 2025.

Her estate practice includes guiding administrators/executors as well as beneficiaries through the complexities of probate in New Jersey and Connecticut, resolving contested wills, handling fiduciary disputes, and assisting beneficiaries in confirming heirship. In landlord/tenant matters, Annie represents property owners, managers and tenants in lease enforcement, eviction proceedings, and negotiations of lease terms.

Admitted to practice in New Jersey and Connecticut since 2012, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey since 2013, Annie brings a strong command of the law and a calm, focused presence to every case. Her practice is grounded in the belief that good legal representation is not only about knowing the law—it is about listening carefully, communicating clearly, and helping clients make informed, confident decisions during what are often highly personal or high-stress situations.

Whether she is guiding families through sensitive estate matters or representing property owners and tenants in contentious disputes, Annie approaches each case with integrity, diligence, and respect for her clients’ time, resources, and goals.

As Managing Partner, Annie also oversees the firm’s operations and vision, ensuring that Muldowney & Hollingsworth, LLC remains accessible, responsive, and rooted in the communities it serves.

Outside of the firm, Annie enjoys running, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending quality time with her husband and their two children.
